Had a great talk with Mike today, amazing guy, been around the world and the block one or two times, it's not his first rodeo lets just say, he's a knife maker and with that comes a lot of things most folks may never learn about. One of those things is Passion, that's something hard to fake, and Mike is as you can tell from his videos, sort of passionate about knives and all things sharp.
As Mike has mentioned, he's lost/let go a couple of helpers not too long ago, which put his work in a tight squeeze. Sometimes things don't always go as planned and in the case of back orders, they pile up and you get in kinda like a paralysis of analysis, meaning you can't do them all at once, but they are all due at once so some things have to be back burner'd until you can get to them. One of those are the BOSS knives. Mike said he has to get them finished up, some people have waited a long time for theirs, myself included. I've not worried on the issue as, well, like most of us, we DO have other knives to keep us occupied while we wait. So it's not like a life and death problem. Once the knife arrives, we'll have it for a long time, or as some might do, flip it and make some coin off of Mike's hard labor. Not a problem for Mike, the more that own his knives the better, spread the love
.
I know some might not be giving Mike a break on this, and maybe rightly so, they did already send/spend money on a knife that hasn't arrived yet, but, Mike will and is working to get things caught up. I'd take him up on his offer of calling if you need to, maybe just to make sure your name is on his list or just a shout out of support for him. I imagine Mike would have a listing of the knives outstanding on his To Do board so he can just start scratching them off one by one, until they were all accounted for.
Mike, hang in there brother, if that light at the end of the tunnel has a long low powerful horn sound behind it, RUN the other way man, it's a train!
But I think that light is growing brighter for you this year and my best to you and your kids, may they all be healthy and happy!
