I just recieved my 154CM Talon. I love the way it fells and cuts. My son pointed out to me it was marked 1 of 300. Does this mean it was the first out of the run or just one of the 300 made? Was this a one time run or will this be a standard model in the future? I bought it to use, but hate to ruin any possible collector value.

the '1 of 300' is on each of the 300 made in 154CM. I believe it was just a special run just for Bladeforums/1SKS, but I figure if they sold well enough, what company would stop making a decent selling product? For now, though, I believe that there are only 300 around...

I am profoundly happy with mine. In fact I came over to this forum to put up a post to that effect, but this will do.

For my purposes (hiking/camping) it has been the ideal weight, size, and shape (blade and handle).

Now all need is for someone to convince me to go for the talonite version too.

Glad you are all liking your Talons! I havent cut anything with my 154-CM version, think I will just keep it in the ol collection.

I wondered about a combo blade version.

Rob; It's not often I get to 'talk' to the maker on something like this. Then again, it's not often that I'm this pleased with a product.

Good work all around, and I'll be watching for your stuff.

The 154CM EDC's and TALON's were exclusive to Mike Turber. He planned all along to wholesale some of them to some other[internet] dealers. Depending on the popularity, we may elect to make them again in the future in the same finish/blade configuration. We'll just have to see how they go....
