Just got my Talon 154CM in from CRS! Very nice blade. I think this satisfies the short fixed blade department for skinning & food prep. Very sharp with its 3.5" full ground blade.

I was surprised to find it is a limited edition. 300 made... I really like this blade, but I want it, to use, not show case. Does Camillus plan to made different versions of this style like they are the OB Bowie?

I know they offer the Talonite blade, but that is a little steep for me. I wouldn't mine seeing this one with differing handle combinations with the 154CM blade material. I think a couple of size offerings would be nice, too. I'd buy another one with a 4.5" - 5" blade and a 1/2" inch or more on the handle.

Also, one more question? On the blade it says "1 of 300". Does this mean #1 of 300, or one out of 300? Just wondering?

Thanks Camillus for another fine cutting instrument and keep them coming!

:)

It means one out of 300 that were made. I've a part serrated one the says the same thing 1 of 300.

What is CRS? I agree, I love the design. The smallish knife I have that I like just as much is the Spyderco Perrin bowie and that's a 5" blade.

Oh, yeah!... and I really wish they made a 4.75" to 5" bladed version of it with a slightly larger handle in S30V. Sort of like a Camillus-Simonich collaboration Chinook.

Now you're talkin'!

Yep, that sounds like a nice knife. Unfortunately, :( Rob isn't taking orders, even if I had the spare cash lying around right now.
