I noticed in David Browns thread that the older Busse knives he posted seem to have a larger talon hole. I was wondering if anyone knows when around this started? Also if there is a reason for the change.
Also if anyone has a picture of an older TGLB next to a TGULB i would like to see if they have the same size talon hole.

When "Battle Grade" was introduced there was some talk of them having larger talon holes so stripped ones could be distinguished from INFI, not sure if they actually did it, though. That's the only thing I've heard about different talon hole sizes.

There it is:

We have thought this through during the 15 minutes we were sober in the past 6 months, and here are a couple of things that we came up with.

1.) We will be marking the blades with the SR-101 steel designation.

2.) We will be enlarging either the talon hole or the lanyard hole in order to be able to identify a stripped blade where the logo has been removed.

Let's Drink To The Battle Grade!👍

Talon hole size has went up and Down over the years

Some depend on knife size HACK Bear Cubs have small holes
MOABs are about .25"

Some of the BG knives did have big holes.

Some look smaller due to coating.

I may have to do a "evolution" pic on the Active Duty I think I still have all of them.

I do have most of the TG's (no crusader anymore though :( )
