I'll bite, though I'm not sure I completely understand your brand of humour.

How exactly did you "touch up" the edge of the TNT?

BTW, I think cats should be classified as red meat. Dogs too. You ever see how they look after being cooked? Like beef or lamb.

sorry if i was not clear on "touch-up:. i just stropped the edge of the blade on the edge of the table, basically exposing more chromium carbides for improved cutting ability, i suppose

talonite is very cool!
btw, the title was meant as sarcasm.

While the cobalt matrix is soft, I doubt that you could readily abrade it on a table. I would say that it is much more likely that you are "squashing" the edge making it thinner and/or aligning it. You can do this readily with the softer steels as well, AUS8 for example steels very nicely (for basically the same reason the edge rolls quickly).

Tom; you going to name your belt grinder 'sarcasm'?

(He managed, somehow, to grind enough of the back of his hand to require stitches; this is the only time I am truly sorry that I retired from Emergency medicine. Oh, to have been in that ER.... heh heh heh

okay, so i realigned the edge. my point[apparently did not make it clear, was how much i like talonite and how easy it is to touch up. btw, the edge of the table is where the formica met the tasbles side. i failed to mention this, the table was a harder material than your average table. government, ya know

. hell, if i'm not making enough sense, sorry about that. anybody else out there have a 16 year old son that is tearing your heart out?
and speaking of medications... i'm on 400 mg. of serzone a day, if it's "working", thank GOD. BECAUSE IF THIS IS FEELING OKAY, I'D HATE TO SEE WHAT I'D BE LIKE WITHOUT IT.
knowing it could always be worse, i'm outta here.
