Last week I received my second prize from from Tom Walz of Carbide Processors, Inc. The description follows:
"The second prize is a Talonite knife from One Stop Knife shop. onestopknifeshop.com It is the Rob Simonich Talonite knife (Cam-Tal1 In Talonite from Camillus and designed by Rob Simonich with the retail price of $246.99)"
Having won I'm obviously very happy to get the knife.
The talonite should fill a void in my collection. I do a lot of fishing here in Alaska in the summer and am often around salt water, or other wet and humid conditions. This knife is going to be a user. I intend to wear it on my gortex waders and keep it around when I'm rafting or boating. It will be great that I can carry a quality fixed blade and not worry about rust. This has been a problem at other times for me.
I want to thank Tom for the knife drawing and also want to thank the One Stop Knife Shop for giving away the knife. Tom was also great at tracking me down to let me know I had won.
I'll post more at a later date about how the knife works out over the the year.
