Other than price, is there any advantage of 154CM as compared to Talonite? I am familiar with the ability of Talonite to stand up to seawater, fish blood and the like, but does the 154CM version offer any advantages over its higher priced brother?

The talonite wins if price is no object!

I have heard that 154-cm would resist edge-rolling better than Talonite. Cliff Stamp should be able to help on this topic.

The rust immunity of Talonite would be a BIG bonus for a neck knife. Wear resistance is also very good with Talonite. In a neck knife weakness would not be such an issue. IMHO Talonite is WAY overpriced but makes a fantastic neck knife. I would still go for the 154CM model, great knife for the money and a lot cheaper. Get that and a couple of Marine Sentry Tuf Cloth's.
