I did some sanding on the Handle of my Cold Steel Norse Hawk trying to get a Good Snug Fit but I wasnt having any Luck, So I took a piece of leather strip I had laying around and put It between the Head & Handle and It took out all the play and gave me a Super Snug Fit ! Just thought I would share the Info. I'm a Real Newcomer when It come's to TomaHawk's so any Info. On Head To Handle fitting would be Greatly Appreciated !

Here's a couple picture's of my Quik Fix Snug Fit leather strip,

Fitting the head shouldn't be too difficult, as long as the handle is at least close to start with. I posted this once before:

Fit it

The only thing I would add would be to put a nice radius on the upper edge of the eye, to prevent it from biting into the wood too soon and giving the false impression of a tight fit. If you're not having much luck yet, maybe you're sanding too much? Go slow and don't sand where it's not rubbing. I usually wrap the sandpaper around a dowel to reduce the contact area. It gives me more control over what I'm taking off.

It can feel like you're not making much progress at first but you'll reach a point where it'll suddenly start to grab a lot when you tap it on, so much so that it takes a pretty good bang to separate them. Hope this helps.

Good Info. Blue Sky, And that's what I need to do Is "Put a nice radius on the upper edge of the eye ! " That's what Is going on just like you said digging In to the Wood giving the false Impression of a tight fit "With Play" And when I added that leather strip It took out all the play, Great Info. and Thank's for sharing your knowledge, Like I said I'm New to the TomaHawK, I'll get It right, Thank's Again & Take Care !

Check the sticky at the top of the page. You shouldnt have fittment issues if you take about 30min to adjust the handle and head.

I may be wrong, but it would seem to me that the leather would pack down pretty quick and allow the head to loosen.

Try some of techniques at the top of the page. Myself and a few other guys have come up with some pretty good ways to fit your head.
