(2 threads with bussekin and HI in one day! Cool!)

Well, got them both out for a short hike with my boy and a little choppy-choppy. Don't think you can see the 2 sticks in my son's hand..his 2 "knives"!

The first round the Tamang just smoked the BR- 13 chops to 20. I did a few more rounds with thicker stock and it was closer, but the tamang would still top my rat by 2-3 wacks on average! Plus...I'm still working on my kukri wrist snap...when I get more practiced the tamang will be a killer!

Like 5 posts down titled "dhar"! :D:thumbup:

I have to study technique more from you all...

See the bite it took out of the tree at the 45 degree??? Awesome!!!

Quick question though- in reading the material that came with it- this isn't a model made for chopping??? Good Lord- cuts like a chopper to me!!! :D

Thanks for the photo's and impressions rpn.

The Tamang shows HI blades don't have to be almost a 1/2inch thick and weigh over 30ounces to be good choppers.

Nope, thank you for the great knife and helping me get it!

Think some folks from the scrap yard site will be emailing you with requests for one too!

Hope that's ok....
