Has anyone ever heard of this stuff? It's made to be used on models, and I've started stropping with it on a piece of cardboard with great results.

They make three grits, coarse, fine, and finish. Although it's made for painted plastic models, it works great after my UF Sharpmaker rods.

The only information I've been able to find is that in the model world, the coarse is made to be used after 1,000 grit sandpaper, the fine after that, then the finish to, well, finish.

I've been using the "finish" grit with good results. I go from my UF rods to a piece of cardboard loaded with it, and my knives are sharper when I'm done than if I just quit after the rods, so to me that qualifies as good results.

Anyone have any idea what I'm stropping my knives with, or any grit info?

Well I've never used it, but I have used Tamiya paints many times for my Gunpla modeling and its the best paint you can get. I'm sure its good stuff and if it works then it works.

Plain leather is great, and a loaded strop is a good in between if you use coarse stones.

Tamiya polish should work (really any polish should). Though I'd imagine being a high end paint polish it's way more expensive than a simple leather on wood strop or even other compounds like Chromium Oxide.

I paid $6 for a 22mL tube.

I don't have a leather strop yet, but I'll be making one soon. I was just curious if anyone else has ever heard of or used this stuff.
