Tan Leather Sheath for Buck 110v

When did Buck begin offering the brown leather sheath. I just picked up a 110v which appears to be mint and it came with a brown leather sheath.
Found it in an old antique hardware store right next to a Schrade Uncle Henry LB8 with the plastic stags.

During the mid-1980s, Buck began to include the brown or tan leather sheath with finger grooved versions of the 110 and 112 models.

A 1989... Nice find! I love the tan leather. Specially the curved bottom ones.

Yes, agreed. That sheath was part of the upgrade package deal for those knives. I like those sheaths. DM
