O.K. so yesterday i'm in boosamillion thumbing through a copy of soldier of fortune magazine and I see some tan , part serrated natives they gave as prizes. They are Operation Iraqi Freedom marked.

Does anyone know if these were made only for s.o.f. magazine or are they something Spyderco is offering?

I looked on Spyderco's site and did not find them.

Anyone have any info on these, maybe point me in the right direction to obtain one if possible? Dave

Edited post. Misunderstood. Thought you were talking about the tan Enduras. Duh...

Spyderco made the Tan Natives to send to the troops in Afganastan and Iraq.
The only ones that were avalable to anyone besibes the troops were 200 to collectors and they are numbered. The only way to get one is to get a numbered one from a collector or buy one from someone that was in Iraq or afganastan that was given one.
I got lucky enough to get one of the Iraq models, the afgan marked ones are very hard to find.
I really don't think sof magazine or any distributor had anything to do with it.

Heres a pic of mine.
I have a feeling that these will be one of those very hard to find Spydies in years to come.I have seen a few of the Iraq Natives go through Ebay with bids going over 100.00.I have never seen an Afgan for sell.I would love to find one.
