Tan Slabs Getting Light??

Has any1 had their tan slabs getting light in color? It looks like they are turning like a white-ish both sides. Knife is new, only slid in and out of sheath...couple hundred times to look at it! Is there a conditioner or something available? Any help is appreciated

My ritual is to keep them oiled as soon as I get them. I use Break Free, but I am sure any proper oil works. I use a touth brush, a sponge, oil, and a paper towel or two. I work the oil into the handle with the brush then sponge the whole blade with oil and wipe the excess. That usually brings the color back to the slabs.

Wow, I have the complete opposite happen on my DWMS slabs. They darken and gloss over (oily palms I suppose?). They actually get a nice reddish brown color.
I find that when the blade gets dirty or crusty enough I'll use a brillo(3M) pad and soapy water to scrub off any stuff. While doing this I'll also scrub the slabs as well to get the lighter courser texture back. This gets them looking brand new

I've got another Mean Street that the slabs look almost completely white. The canvas layers just seem to be showing through more after the machining.

Actually, now that I'm thinking of it...would rubbing an oil (break free as WTF uses) on them help maintain the traction of the canvas? Maybe body(hand) oil has more of a matting effect

Its always good to read a post from you but...

Part of my daily rhythm is to check in here at lunch every day. (Living in a house attached to the office where I work allows me to do this you see
