I was looking for a descent knife that will not break the bank, basically wanted something that if/when i snap the tip or completely tweek the knife, i will not be upset as if it was one of my Emerson's or strider etc etc. Basically wanted a ok knife that will survive the daily use of the construction industry. Anyway, settled on the tanacious, my 3rd spyderco, i have a manix 2 and an older pro grip that lives in my 4runner.
So, whats the verdict on the Tanacious ? good bang for the buck in a china/spyderco folder.

yes it's very good. it will be similar to your manix 2 but in my opinion not quite as nice. i have both and i love my manix as it is a little tankier?? anyways yes it is a very good knife

Its very well regarded around here. You get a decent steel, nice G10, 4-way clip and solid construction for not much coinage. Its hard to find anything to complain about, especially at its low price point.

Tenacious SE.

The Tenacious was my first Spyderco, and I have always been impressed with how much bang you get for the proverbial buck with that entire budget line.

It was my first spyderco as well. It is a wonderful knife at the price point. I never got around to hard using it because I have higher end knives that I know will hold up to the abuse I may put them through. I have been carrying a manix 2 lightweight for a work folder lately. It's not as solid as the tenacious because it doesn't have full steel liners and g10 scales. Buying a tenacious is a very smart choice, for a cheap well built knife. It's hard to find what it offers at that price point.
