Can someone point me to a source for a hardened tool steel tang filing clamp? If I can buy one Im not going to the trouble of making another.( I lost the one I made and cant find it to save my life) THANKS

Try Sheffield for a cheaper one, Mike, and Uncle Al's for the high priced spread.

Sheffield's is hardened and so-so ok. File will stil cut it a bit. Haven't rockwelled it.

Uncle Al's was too costly for me, though they come well recommended.

Thanks Mike....I looked through all my catalogs and didnt see it in Sheffields,,

Thanks for the links...I guess we got our signals crossed up. I meant that I had looked in Sheffields earlier in the day and didnt see it. Anyway Ive got it on the way..thanks again...

Sorta makes doing up ones own a lot more attractive, doesn't it? Dang......:(

I might just put mine in a display case since they're so proud of 'em!

I started making one today. I'm not paying what they want for them in the knife supply houses.

I started on another one too. I wont pay that much for two pieces of steel with two capscrews in them
