This has probably been asked before, but what is the tang like on the the Ontario Spec Plus line? (http://www.ontarioknife.com/specplus_pg1.html)

Their webpage claims their knives have a "full tang" construction, but I know that's untrue with the M7 Bayonet (3rd one down), which has a threaded tang... according to a different website... which also has the blade length listed incorrectly (http://www.888knivesrus.com/product/ONSP3/ONTARIO_KNIFE_SPEC_PLUS_3_M7_BAYONET.html)

The other knives on that page do look like they might have a fairly solid tang. Does anyone have first-hand/better knowledge in this regard?

I have the SP-24, which is a "pilot's survival" type knife. The tang goes all the way to the butt of the knife, yet it is pretty small. It is the same tang style as on my Ka-Bar USMC's. I hope that helps.

I have the sp25 usn knife and as 3guardsman says a thin through the handle into a hex pommel.I also have Quartermaster, taskforce kukri,Marine Bowie and Survival Machette. These ones have the enclosed Kraton handles i would guess the tang would be fuller on these models (would only know by removal of handle) i would like to think. I would definately hope a fuller tang on the larger models as i have used them hard especially the SP8 Machette. Are you looking at a particular one?
