The Schrade NY USA stamp was roughly used from 1973 to 1980, but not consistent in years in each pattern. There are several variations not listed in this chart.

I welcome additions to this thread. There are other threads with this information, it would a good topic for a sticky.

Nice collection of SCHRADE logo's and stamps. ;)
Curious, did you research all this, or are you just an old Schrade Walden aficionado like me?
I believe that The Imperial Knife Company was also one of the forerunners to Schrade Walden.
Is there a Schrade Walden history on this board somewhere, or should it be started here? :)

Welcome Bruce:

Notice at the top of the graphic - Knife World June 2004, to your question about the source of the tang stamps.

As far as Schrade Walden and Imperial Knife Company history, if you search old forum posts, you will find a number of threads pertaining to your question.

This website, which has been a wonderful resource for me,and is the work of Larry Vickery, LRV; his member name on this forum. There are contributions on that website of a few more members that hang out here:

Here is a link to another website with some nice reference material for aficionados; research provided by Dale Vincent, who goes by Orvet, on the forum:
