W1 Integral with African Blackwood Handle . This is my second attempt at high relief carving, something I learned from Rodrigo Sfreddo. I really enjoy it, only wish I had a few more days to spiff this one up but it's after midnight in Alaska and we're leaving for the Expo at daylight on the tide tomorrow. I apologize for the substandard pictures we've been posting, I haven't gotten my lightbox up to speed yet in the new shop. This blade has swedges but the photo doesn't show them. Thanks for looking anyhow! -HD

Very elegant Haley, carving sets the piece off perfectly. Good luck to both of you at the show, don't think you will need it.

Very elegant.

Elegant, indeed. I particularly like the connecting swirls over the top. The second photo shows off the nice handle sculpting well. Imagine it in ivory. Enjoy the show.

very pretty indeed! Really like the contouring of the handle as well.

I'm hearing you on the deadline thing, I just worked over night on the slip-joint folder I just posted. Great job on the knife, that's what you call "Grace under fire"

Thanks for the well wishes from down under, we relive our visits with you guys often, hoping to get back there someday.

Bob, I can't wait to try some ivory. I'm sure it has its own set of problems but at least large wood grain wouldn't be one of them. Hoping to have a cool collaboration with my sweetheart for BLADE this year.

Dave, can't wait to see what you brought and catch up with Andrea. Maria Rodebaugh, Heidi Wiggins and Kim Fisher will be there too, I love this show!

The blade looks sleek and clean!
The handle was nicely shaped and beautifully carved!
Yes, It's so elegant, Adam
Congrats :)
