Tanglewood - High Relief Carved Blackwood...headed for San Antone

W1 Integral with African Blackwood Handle . This is my second attempt at high relief carving, something I learned from Rodrigo Sfreddo. I really enjoy it, only wish I had a few more days to spiff this one up but it's after midnight in Alaska and we're leaving for the Expo at daylight on the tide tomorrow. I apologize for the substandard pictures we've been posting, I haven't gotten my lightbox up to speed yet in the new shop. This blade has swedges but the photo doesn't show them. Bob, I can't wait to try some ivory. I'm sure it has its own set of problems but at least large wood grain wouldn't be one of them. Hoping to have a cool collaboration with my sweetheart for BLADE this year.

Dave, can't wait to see what you brought and catch up with Andrea. Maria Rodebaugh, Heidi Wiggins and Kim Fisher will be there too, I love this show!
