Tank Buster Configurations?

Hey guys,

I ran a search, but couldn't come up with much. Either way, should be a pretty quick answer...

In what configurations were the Tank Busters made available? Swedge/no Swedge? Skull crusher or flat pommel? Choil/no choil? Handle materials and mags/no mags? Blade finishes? Thicknesses of the CG's vs LE?

Also, when? I must have been sleeping or on course, because it's everything I want. A marriage of the Batac handle with an ASH blade, for all intents and purposes. I have a BATACLE now, and recently sold my ASH, so I may be looking to trade up. Only room for one or two Busse's in this stable. :(

I also had a look through some of the photo and for sale threads, which led me to the above configs.

Thanks for your help,

Brad

Thanks!

You have most of the options, except that blade serrations were also available.

In terms of blade thickness, there were two: 0.22 and 0.25 inches. Satin and Double Cut blade, including the LEs, were for former, and coated blades were the latter.

yes, th TB was the most customizable blade...I got a CG satin, round pommel, swedge and choil with serrations...its about 15oz and .25 inches thick with two tone G10 mags

Now you could have gotten no swedge, no choil, coated (like 10 different colors), micarta or G10 (many handle colors), skull crusher or not, mags or not, LE or CG (LE had tiger hide micarta and you could choose between 2 different LEs), it was about 6 inches long..

it came out like between like april to dec of 09'

i dunno how Busse feels about it, but i loved all the options, and would be quite willing to wait a little longer for my knives if they came with all those options in the future

Thanks for the information, guys.

What were the specifications of the LE models available?

I'm really, really sad that I missed out on these - I would love a Satin CG, no swedge, w/ choil, w/ skull crusher, with OD G10 mags.

Why did I have to miss the most customizable!

Maybe, JUST MAYBE, one will come come up on the Exchange. One can always hope.

Thanks for your help, guys, especiall fbusmc - that's exactly what I was looking for. And how many did you buy, exactly?
