Hi Everybody,
Got my TB late afternoon yesterday.
Pants today
This was a challenge !!
How to make a sheath that fits all the knives with just one knife ??????
First I looked at all the options & pics of the options, & ordered the knife I though I could work best with.
It was the;
standard handle
No swedge
Choil model
flat butt
1. Standard handle - I have a trade secret way to make standard handle make magnum handles sheaths
2. No swedge - it will fit the models with a swedge great, there will be no rattle because it is so small, I can vouch for this as my Skinny ASH that I put the sharpened swedge on fits in a no swedge skinny ASH sheath perfect.
3. Choil - now this one may be a bit confusing. You may ask why not just get the model with out the choil ? The reason is that I noticed on all the no choil models that the plunge line is further back. SO if I made sheath with that one the models with a choil would not fit.
What I did was; I took a .25" peice of material & ground it to fit in the choil hole making a negative space in the sheath so the no-choil models will work great.
4. Flat Butt - well that is another trade secret
SO I hope that explains it all.
Here is the first bunch of sheaths I made today;
