Tank Buster vs Hell Razor

I am eyeballing a tank buster these days, and wondering how is it compared to a hell razor.
I already have a hell razor and like it. But I haven't handled a tank buster yet. I generally use a knife for camping and hiking, and also do some light chopping for firewood.
So which is better, what do you think ?

Thanks

There are lots of different configurations in which the TB was offered; what will be it's main tasks?

FWIW, I absolutely loved my HR; wish I never sold it. :(

Edit: The HR is what started my INFI addiction!

There are a couple of TB available for now with different specs. I personally prefer with choil and swedge, and don't quite care about butt options. I also find a satin version on ebay, which looks really cool..., but cost a bit more.

I see TB is shorter, thicker and heavy compared with HR. But I just want to know how it feels in use....

PS: HR is really great! I also have a sfno to compare with. HR is much better IMHO!

in hand is the best feeling knife I own. It is truely a great knife. I don't have a HR so I can not comment ion it.

i generally don't like medium sized knives that try to be all around knives, but the tank buster does it so well that it's one of my favorites. the HR is too, but the TB chops a bit better. they are pretty similar really aside from weight

here is a Group shot

The TB and HR are VERY close in size--
TB is more handle heavy
HR is faster in hand
The DSSF felt better and chops better than either one

Thanks man. Nice pic! It looks like the Tac handle is fatter than the sf handle, am I correct?

Yes

But both knives could be obtained with regular or magnum handles

Try to hold each model before you get one--if you can

and with Busee---if you get one and do not like it--you can re-sell or trade it to get the Busse your after

Necro bump. What's everyone's preference between these? I think I like the tank buster better but the hellrazor seems like an improved version (longer blade, a little lighter, etc).

I really like them both, so with that said. They both have their own feel to them.
For me the TB feels more heavy duty, while the HR more nimble.

Sorry older pic

The Tank Buster's okay, but the Hell Razor's one of my all-time favorites. If I ever get around to selling off the excess, the Tank Busters will go; at least one Hell Razor will stay.

100% Hell Razor 2008 SE for me. It goes with me everywhere I go, either in my truck or on my hip. :D

Something sorta like this?

Mine's cold blued because the old school Competition Grade (a predecessor to "Competition Finish") rusted more than I liked.

Magnum Micarta, natural patina. Working with Chad now for a new pair of leather pants for my dirty Lil Lady.:D:thumbsup:

Those 2008 SE knifes were something. I've got a couple each of the Squatch, BATAC, and ASH-1. I'd love to have a Hell Razor to go with them but in my 3 years around here I have yet to see one, they are either more rare or people just won't part with them. I've said it before in other posts but I don't think the He'll Razors get enough love, they are a great all aroused and easy to carry for the blade size. I'm still waiting for the .22 LE to be released.
