Tankbuster features you like

I went through the options for the tank buster last night and put together about 20 different configurations I would like to have. I know I won't be able to afford most of them, but it sure would be nice.

I have decided that all of the tankbuster CG knives I do get will have the same features with the exception of the Choil. All copies I buy will have the Heavy Swedge & the Skull Crusher. The only feature I will have with and with out is the Choil. I may add serrations to one, but I haven't decided yet.

What static features do you plan on getting if any?

Just wondering what everyone else thinks about the "free" options we can choose.

thanks, Les.

I want a heavy Swedge, Round but, Not sure bout the choil kinda want one with and one without. Probably do one double cut and one with a coating. Whats really cool is that by removing the swedge the whole feel of the knife will change, along with removing the choil. So you really can have two completley different feeling knives weight and balance wise in the same overall design. Thats why I think I'll have to get two one with a swedge, one without, one with a whoil and one without. I dont need a skull crusher though.

I'm not sure yet if I like the basic knife, but I sure do like the option plan.

Not going to get multiples, but maybe a DCBB, black micarta, no choil, swedge, hammer butt.

Lots of color combos and options. Here are some thoughts
Sjtac, batac, all have skull crushers, but only the sarsquatch has a "hammer" round butt. unless you are using this for a combat blade, I think the flat butt will come in more handy in survival situations. Barrabas74 makes an excellent point regarding the different options will actually make a completely different feel and balance on the knife. heavy swedge for a fighter for penetration, while no swede for extra weight for chopping. I like the no choil option, since it's a bit more blade, and I know those who like to keep the very back super sharp or delicate slicing. Of coarse to get that Old time look, Paper canvas has not been offered for a long time, would make for a nostalgic look on satin or black. I've got about 5 combos picked out. going to start out with 2 then try to make some sales to cover the rest. blade style kinda reminds me of the old SOG Vietnam Bowie or an Al Mar mod A Bowie. I like it

if I ever have the money, I think I might have one of these customized to be more compact, down to a 4" blade 9.25" overall length.

I definitely prefer the no choil / hammer butt combination. Not sure so much on handle and color choices - if hand shaped magnums are available I would definitely lean towards those.

Satin, no choil, magnum black paper, heavy swedge and hammer butt. If I get on, that will be the combo.

I want 2, the only things they'll have in common are no choil and no serrations.

I have narrowed my order to two knives. I will pass on the le because satin is available. 1st: Satin, blk canvas mags, choil, and heavy swedge
2nd: DC, blk G-10 mags, choiless. swedge
Both with skull crushers
If I can only afford one I don't know what I will do but that's a good problem

Ours may be collectors items and worth a fortune. I think were the only ones going with skull crusher.

May I ask why you like the Skull crusher? I just never had a real use for them. I find them more in the way then that flat bottom. I guess you could use it as an ice chipper or a windshield break or what not.

I find the skull crusher more aesthetically pleasing on a Busse, and it would make a very nice glass breaker as well as a skull crusher. I've never had the need to use any of my knives as a hammer. If I did, I'm sure I could hammer with the skull crusher in a pinch.

I like the skull crusher way better too ... I think it looks better.. and why not have the extra functionality :D

This is gonna be my first Busse..EEEKK :) Imma go with: Heavy Swedge/Choil/Skull Crusher/Artic white/Black canvas...I truely love the artic white!

I'm thinking of getting two: one with choil and skull crusher and one without choil and skull crusher.
Both with swedge. No serrations.
Thinking muddy with orange/black mags for one and satin with blue/black mags for the other. Maybe black paper on the satin though.

ok, im changing my old pick

Either Urban Camo, black canvas mags, choil, serrations, hammer butt, swedge

or black, black and tan g10 mags, no choil, serrations, hammer butt and no swedge

My main concern is with the choil and serrations. If you get the choil, the serrations will start most likely at the choil/cutting edge interface which shortens the blade. But my question is will the serrations on the choil-less model, will they start right at the handle/edge interface or further up the blade?

I think, if I find enough money (actually thinking about donating blood and/or sperm
:p) I am going to get a Satin/Black Canvas/Swedge/No choil/Skull Crusher
