Man it is slow around here. So, for those that got in on the tanker offer, what did you get? Green or Tan SnakeSkin or Black, serrations or Plain edge? I got the Green, SS, PE. :) I got a green SK too:eek: :D So how about you? How did you get yours?

hey alpha...i got in and got the black handle, green no serrations. pretty close to yours. have you received your yet? i'm getting a little anxious to handle this one. seems like it's been forever since the offer and still no tanker:( hopefully monday.

No, I haven't got mine yet. I really don't look for it to be here for another two weeks. ;)

I got a plain green with black handles, also green with snakeskin handles and serrations. Plus a green skeleton key.:D :D

I would have gone without the serrations. I like them on the knives I have that have them, but I prefer them plain edged.

1 green Tanker with black mic, plain edge
1 coyote Tanker with tan mic, plain edge
1 green SK

The only practical purpose I can think of for having serrations on the belly or close to the tip is for ripping through layers of clothing when slashing; that being the case the Tanker A is not much of a fighter per se, esp. compared with most other Busse models, and serrations on the belly render the belly almost useless for certain other tasks. If I were to have belly serrations at all, I'd want them on my SJ before I'd want them on my Tanker; same knife basically, just longer blade for longer reach. Or on my BM-E. Or my TW... YMMV

I got two tan snakeskin Tankers-one with serrations and one without. Still waiting for mine also, along with one of the tan Buffalo Soldiers.

I ordered one in green with Snake Skin and a plain edge and a Coyote w/Tan and a plain edge:D :D :D

I think the teeth might be a little more rare also. I like the looks, but for my uses, I just don't need them, especially at the "belly", but it does look really cool.

Alpha,

Did I read you correctly? You ordered two blades? You must have lost your self control. I thought you were on a strict no-knife diet whilst being a student! I hear you buddy, I'm having a hard time myself. They keep on calling...

Cheers,
BJB :D

Yes, I did break down and get a couple.....but.....they are for a poor student I know who has just started clinicals 2 days a week as well as the regular course load. Out of the 35 in my day class, and the 30 in night class, we are down to 35 total and 5 of those have failed one class and will have to start over in Jan. The wife says that if I fail out the knives go up my arse:eek:  :D(rectum?!..damn near killed 'em) I better get to bed. Morning comes soon and I have a nutrition test first thing in the a.m. It sucks to be old and in school, but at least I'm still kicking. See you guys later.:)
