This is a really dumb question but its been bugging me lately. Why is tanker grey called tanker grey. I was a tanker in the Army for 7 years and I don't really remember anything on any tank with that color? Do they mean an ocean tanker or a semi-truck? Its one of those questions that you just can't stop thinking about. I heard another one last night thats been bugging me. How does superman cut his nails or get a hair cut? Stupid questions but you can't get them out of your head.:confused:

When I first saw the words "Tanker Gray" I immediately thought of an oil tanker, but I'm not sure if that makes much sense.

We have used many different "Grey" "Gray" coatings thru the years at Busse..
Some we liked:thumbup::thumbup: Some we did not:thumbdn: (No one will see those... scary stuff)

It is this....We name them as we go... so we do not get confused(We drink alot..lol)

Tanker Grey is what it is ...a semi-new blade finish that we had at Knob Creek (I am thinking about a year and half ago:confused: could be longer) I am tired and drinking what do I know:)

My better question is this...is it Gray...or Grey??? Hmmm....that is what I really want to know:eek::eek:

I love the tanker grey color on knife blades, its probably my favorite color and it looks sweet with a black handle.

It's not Tanker Gray, it's Tankard Grey:cool::cool:

oh yeah, love the color just wondering where the original "tanker" of the grey ....... gray....?? part came from.

Gray and Grey are both acceptable (variants) according to my dictionary.

Grey is used in areas that speak UK english.
Gray is used in areas that speak US english.

Or at least thats what Google tells me.
