I'm not sure of current status, but in years past, the Tanto I was among several fixed blades that were limited production (as opposed to a limited issue). Limited production means that it is run in small production runs every once in awhile. The Tanto I is an awesome blade. You want to be sure to always be on the handle side of this piece when the going gets rough....

Yes you are very correct, it is only run in very small production runs once in awhile. It is truly an awsome blade and would not let you down when you need it.
