Looking for a good comparison of these two in a Large 21. Particularly the tips and blade geometry. I am quite aware of the uses the blade shapes have to offer, but I welcome any meaningful discussion as always.

Thanks in advance/1

Unit, I'm on mobile right now, otherwise I'd post a link. If you check out threads recently started by "kidcongo" there is one with all 3 tips next to each other for comparison.

unfortunately, none of those images show an Insingo.

I should have the photos I need later today or tonight though.

Im just trying to decide between the Insingo and the Tanto....Im leaning away from the norm at the moment;)

Ah my mistake. Faulty memory. I'll post up my Insingo next to the clip point later should you still need the images.

I have the large and small Insingo but the only tanto that I have right now is an Umnumzaan, my buddy has a large tanto but he's up north for the weekend. If you still need the pic in a few days we'll get one posted for you.

The tanto is substantially thicker at the top/spine of the knife than the Insingo but the Insingo is no slouch. They are tied as my favorite offerings from CRK. I've used both HARD doing things that most knife guys wouldn't do with a cheap knife, you can't go wrong either way.
I like the lower tip of the Insingo with its slight belly for most tasks but having that second edge on the tanto is just so useful to me as well. It'd be an easier choice if Chris didn't put that slight belly on the tanto as well- his Tanto's are the best in the business !

Here is an Insingo next to some clip points, if it helps at all. The upper swedge tapers almost to an edge.

could be just the angle/parallax but it almost appears that the Insingo tapers earlier and is thinner behind the tip (some would say a weaker tip).

Interesting!

Thanks for your contribution.

No tricks, that is correct, and also why the insingo pierces well despite it's shape (imo). It does feel thicker above the edge bevel on the Insingo however, just not on the spine. No problem, happy to help (if I did).
