Tanto blade on Inkosi vs Sebenza

how are the tanto blades different or similar on the large Inkosi vs on the large Seebnza ?

I had both in drop point and the blade shape are different, especially the grind that is more hollow on the sebenza.

now are the tanto different / similar ?

my only experience with CRK’s tanto is on my Umnumzaan

My terminology is crap in this regard. But I see a difference with blade depth? Not sure if that should be blade width or blade belly. For me, 21 and 31 blades do not have enough “belly” whereas I think the 25 and inkosi blades (and P and Regular sebs) are sufficient or ideal. Some 21s and some 31 photos I’ve seen are like this or have or appear to have a subtle recurve - I do not like it.

**I haven’t seen a 31 in the flesh, but I’ve noticed the blades on 31s I’ve seen posted on bladeforums, eBay, and retailer sites.

A recurve, of any magnitude, is never an intended blade shape on a 21 spear point. If you are seeing a recurve, it’s either bad photography, or a case of over-zealous sharpening.

I don't know if this helps, I've got a pic of an Umnumzaan and 21. IMO, the drop points of an Umnumzaan and Inkosi are similar. Maybe the tanto's are also.

I believe the overall profile of the large 21 and the 25 (Large Inkosi) is the same. The only difference is the blade thickness and the depth of the hollow grind. There is a small difference in the length of the cutting edge, but the shape of the belly is the same, at least in my examples.

I am guessing the Tanto would have the same similarity between models.

In this photo my 21 is laying right on top of my 25. I’ve angled the camera a tiny amount, so you can see the edge of both blades. They are essentially identical.

I have a 21 tanto and an Inkosi tanto, both large. The Inkosi is a tad bit taller of a blade. Not as much as it looks in the picture but just a little. My 21 insingo and Inkosi insingo, there is a little bit of a different shape as well between the two. Not sure if that helps you any. I don’t have either with me at the moment
