Tanto blank

I have been practicing shaping of traditional japanese tanto for months now, but I could only use the steel flat bar from lowes as the material, an I also do not have a forge as of yet, so i mostly hand file the shapes. Is there any place/person that I could possibly buy a hand forged tanto blank from that I can use for hardening and polishing practice?
