Just finishing this one up.
It's 15" overall and weighs 22oz.
The blade is 1095 spring steel 10" X 1.1/4"
X 1/4" thick ( 3/8" at the blade catchers).
The guard, bolster, and pommel sides are
1018 steel WELDED to the full tang. I don't
like fittings to EVER come loose.
The handle is 4.3/4" long with scales of
Curly Maple.
It's ready to be sharpened and sheathed.
I will keep the tanto tip crisp and dually pointed.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

The only complaint I have is it is getting repetitious; every time I open one of MC's threads, there's nothing in it but more awesome craftsmanship.

Got one tool resin handled version for a good price lately. Worth every penny.

The look of barely hidden envy as I unsheathed this badass blade is priceless...

Thank you.
Didn't get a chance to sheath this one.
It's gone.
Not that I'm complaining :D
But I like making sheathes too.
Thanks Ken.
Mike

You know what would be nice? Kydex lined sheath. Not that I dislike leather, but I tend to keep my blades in their sheaths so kydex lined would prevent rust you see.

Good balance on my tanto, it chops well and strong. Interesting finish, pretty rugged so I don't feel bad chopping with it. Handle is pretty comfortable.

By the way, who's ken?

Thanks for the input. I'll have to
play with some Kydex and see what
I can come up with.
Glad you're enjoying your knife.
This Tanto went to another Ken.
