I have a chochacho who needs a folding knife for work. He is very fond of the tanto point (Americanized or otherwise) and does not like serrations. He also does not like the handle on the griptillian tantos. He's a guy that doesn't like a lot of things.
I'm going to buy him one, but I would like to keep the price under $90. He liked the CRKT M-16 tantos (midsized) but they are not available with out the serrations. (well the zytel handles are, but he's not allowed to have AUS-6 blades.) What can you guys recomend?
I thought about the CS voyager, but he didn't like it. He didn't say why, he just didn't.
So thanks for your help, I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Not allowed AUS-6 steel? I though AUS-6 steel was every american's god given right?
How about a Cold Steel Prolite Tanto 57LT?

BM Stryker?

I second the Stryker. You can pick these up pretty cheap right now. ($50-$70)

I love the Auto-Stryker version, but it's not for everybody.

Buck Strider Tanto? I've seen the mini as low as $90, the full-size one for a little more.

Your friend doesn't like the Cold Steel Tanto Voyagers? How about a Cold Steel Gunsite?...Its' blade is slightly different from the standard CS Tanto Voyager, so maybe he would go for a Gunsite?

Or maybe a Cold Steel Tanto Recon 1?
