So I know there is not a huge following for the tanto bladed Sebs. I for one luv em. Just picked up a large micarta inlayed to go with my small plain. And for the small, got a custom sculped carbon fiber handle. Personally I think they look great together. I'm even thinking of having a dual carry belt sheath made for them. To me the tanto blade(especially the large) is shaped to perform different tasks depending on the need. It's great for hard cutting tasks as well as fine work. Thanks to Neil at TrueNorthKnives and his pestering Chris, I got my grail EDC! Just having fun friends.

Can't go wrong with any one you pick! Thx

That's a great looking set!
I know you like the more angled tanto but the bluntness of the small is more appealing to me, especially with that scale, it looks great on that knife. I also like how the hardware sets off the ribbon in the carbon fiber.

That is a very nice looking blade. . .

I have a small tanto Seb and my "list", but I don't exactly know why! They LOOK mean and LOOK sweet, but as far as EDC performance--what can they do better than the drop point or Insingo? Do they have any significant advantages or disadvantages? Or, is it simply a matter of preference?

Tantos are kind a niche use blade for many of us, but I like them too. I recently scored a BG42 NICA tanto that's going to be my carry tanto, that is, as soon as I can get myself to put the first scratch on it.

To each his own. As I mentioned(for me at least) it's almost like having two edges. Probably why 1Abominable1 likes the blunter tipped ones. You don't lose any cutting performance with the tanto, as the belly of the blade provides plenty.

Lone_Wolfe. If you have to give it up....give it to me!! I miss mine! :D Nice pic

Glad you're liking the tanto sebby blackend...man, you're almost convincing me to pull the trigger on one.

DOOOO EET MAN! Here is what I mean about just using one part of the knife for fine work...

I really like that small with that scale, sweet!

Thx. It really compliments the knife. It's almost like having a new one. My large better watch out, the anti has just been up'd.
