Hey everybody!
It's a nice stormy evening here in Kansas, so I thought I would do a little project on my Opinel No. 8.
I took my Opinel to my #220 grit Sun Tiger waterstone, to try and enlarge the bevel. I took off to much steel, and I started seeing a tanto shape on the blade. I continued shaping the blade to make what I think is a tanto. I finished sharpening on my King #1000 grit waterstone, and then took it to the #8000 grit stone. After all of that was completed I finished stropping with black and white compounds. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
