Tanto or Clip point?? help.

This is going to be a really short post. I need help, I am going to purchase a Cold Steel Recon 1, (2010 model) Should I get the Tanto or Clip point?? advice? Thanks -Josh
 
It really depends on your opinion. What do you plan on using it for? The "tanto" style is just squared off. Personally, if I were you, I would buy the clip.
 
I have the old model Recon 1 tanto point ,and I think it's a sturdy well made knife, although I defintely prefer the look of the new model handle. Although I'm generally a fan of CS products I don't like the look of the Recon 1 clip points at all [I also don't like the Voyageur clip points] So on aesthetics alone, I'd always recommend the tanto point.
 
i prefer tanto because then i have 2 clear cutting surfaces they are a bit harder to sharpen as you need to sharpen both individually but you can use each separately as well...but either way your buying a good knife.
 
Id say the clip point tantos lack penitration at time I don't know if you gave held a recon they are a lot bigger than I expected
