tanto question

saw a 8-9" ? tanto style crk one piece today and just wanted to know if these are still in production or if it is some what rare?
I didnt measure the blade but it was longer than 7 1/2"
Does anyone know when they were made and how many?

also what would a fair price for this knife. it it in mint condition

The knife you are looking at is a Tanto I which had a 9 inch blade. We made 24 of them in South Africa and 73 in the USA, the last of which were made in March 1994.

Most of the knives were stamped with country of origin and, if there is no country of origin marking, it would have been made in South Africa.

An estimated value of the knife is around $350 for a made in USA and perhaps 20% more for the made in SA version.
