Tanto Sebenza Question

For those of you with large and small tanto Sebenza's - when the knife is closed, are you able to touch the tip of the blade? I've run into this on some knives, and the shape of the tanto on the sebenza looks like this could be a potential issue, especially on the large. I've been thinking about picking one up and this is the only thing I'm trying to find out.

I just tried like an idiot to mash my finger into the tip of the closed 31 tanto blade. Didn't get poked. Thought this thread could use some pictures. L31 tanto on the left. L31 drop point on the right.

Bonus! The tanto blade is less tall from spine to cutting edge, so you really can't cut yourself that way either.

I think the tanto blade shape is underrated as an edc knife. Maybe not the best for work on a cutting board, but it excels on most everything else.

This has all been a ton of help fellas. I might be springing on my first sebenza tanto very soon! I'll let you know if I do.

Tantos and wharncliffes are my go-to for just about everything because of how great they are as utility knives. Too many people judge them by their ability to slice apples which I don't use pocket knives for anyway.

Unlike the drop point, which thickens up behind the edge at the belly, the tanto remains the same bte thickness all along the flat, into the tanto corner. Even the insingo is a little thicker toward the tip. The tanto is a damn fine cutting tool and you still get a robust tip for piercing. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

I'm still a huge fan of the insingo, but it's time to take the plunge!

I can't touch the tip of the blade of my tanto 31 when it's closed, and that's something that I pay particular attention to and check on all my folders. It's better designed than many folders in that respect.

I'm really looking forward to mine. I've started to pay close attention to this now too, and i've been noticing it on a lot of knives. Never on a sebenza, but I've only ever had dp and insingo. I've seen a lot of people on this thread say that it's not prevalent on the Zaan, but I've noticed it on both the DP and the Tanto. It's not nearly as bad as other knives I've come across, but I can definitely catch the tip.
