Hi I'm new to Busse and I just wondered out of interest if Busse or kin has ever made a traditional tanto sized rucki? (one handed grip 11inch blade ish)

I don't think there has been a Bussekin model that fits that description, there may well have been some 'Ganza or Show Special custom shop blades that fall close to that.
 
INFI would lend so well to a Japanese style blade with a convex grind.

I haven't had the pleasure of owning one yet but I can imagine that by looking at some of the other blades by Busse and kin. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm afraid they will fall into the two handed category and it will be too long as well but thanks for the input! :)

I modded one of my ruckis to have a shorter handle...I like it...but it put the balance out 2-3 inches in front of choil, which is a different feel...not bad, just different (more sword/chopper like). A shorter handle with a shorter 11-12" blade would be very cool, more tanto like

IIRC, Dave Brown cut down the handle on one for a customer.

The Scrapizashi might be a good candidate for cutting down the blade and the handle, since it costs less to begin with.

But I have to believe that there are tanto blade Custom Shop variants of a Mistress or some other Bussekin blade made for a show.

Contact the Swamp Rat Custom Shop. Making it shorter is not that hard.

Here's the whole knife, I've since dyed the tan canvas micarta to a dark brown... Oh, I checked, the balance is now 1.5-2" fwd of the choil.
