Tanto style blades?

What do you really mean by a tanto point. Do you mean an honest to God Tanto point or an Americanized version. The traditional tantos where of course Japanese work knives. They came in a variety of sizes from 5" blades up to 14" blades. Their point or Kissaki was formed by the edge gracefully rounding into the spine. Those kinds of points were very good slicers. But the American version (which can be seen on cold steels or benchmades and the like) is almost a 45 degree angle. Which is what I got used to calling a chisel point. The tantos on the Busse museum hold fairly true to the traditional form of a tanto. Though that INFI Waki has and Americanized version. The chisel point is probably a stronger poker while the traditional would slice better. Just thought I'd ramble on for a while... I'm sick and board.

Thanks for that bit of info
either will do.I would like some
good pics of tanto style Busse knives.

I think the ones in Andy's museum are about all there is. To my understanding Jerry rarely makes tantos and when he does they go fast. Those at Andy's are the only I have ever seen. to get one you'd need to buy a custom piece (that you designed) or find out what homes those in the museum found their way to. The Busse swords generally have a japanese style point but those are few and far between. Can't wait till I get a Busse sword one day.
