Here is the Tanto that my brother came up with, and we made together.

Specs:

8" overall
4" blade
1/8" thick O1
1" tall
Saber ground on both sides
This one has black canvas micarta handles with brass hardware

that's a great take on the blade shape and the handle looks very comfortable. maybe knives are in the genes :)

good looking blade! I would round the butt on the handle but that is just personal preference after having one like that and being poked many times :(

I've never cared for Americanized tantos but, I really like the grind on that one. Well done.

Nice looking knife.

It looks a little like a Hissatsu style.

best

I like the tanto design, but this one does need an easier on the hand butt.
Just take a quarter inch off the end & it'll be a winner IMHO.
No offense intended Bob,just personal preference.

I think the Cold Steel version is actually the Americanized Tanto..this is more in line with the trad. Katana tip.
IMHO...

I like it! And, I see I'm not the only one.
The round butt works extremely well with the palm loaded grip.
And John, make the next one a zero grind.
