Tanto Swedge

Hey
Am new to CRK knives and i am looking at getting a Umnumzaan Tanto.
My question is does the front swedge come sharp ? If not, why not ? And can it be sharpened ?
Just trying to educate myself

If you mean the actual reverse grind on the front of the blade, yes, that edge is sharp and ready to go.

The spine on the Umnumzaan Tanto is essentially flat all the way to the tip of the blade including the swedge. It may be possible to sharpen it, but that swedge is very long- from the tip back to the thumb hollow, and that would make it fairly difficult to sharpen.

oh yes the reverse grind on the front of the blade, my bad thought that was what the swedge was called, thanks mate

It's sharp but not cutting paper sharp. I had the same issue when I got mine. I decided to leave it as is.
