Whether or not the Tanto is a functional blade shape for EDC tasks is open to debate, but I don't think you can argue the tip is not stout. Here is a photo of two of my small 21's. A spear-point on the left and the tanto on the right. That Tanto tip is strong! If your only goal was to not break the tip. the Tanto seems the way to go.

i guess they are both same hollow grind ,but the tip of spear-drop one drops faster than the tanto, the spine of tanto tip is higher than drop tip, so it is thicker and stronger. in according to this picture, maybe tanto tip is strongest, then zan's,the next is 25's,spear-drop is weakest.

The tanto tip is indeed a stout one be it on the Umnumzaan or Sebenza. I actually quite like the CRK style tanto (some would call it a Bob Lum style). It actually works well in a rage of tasks and the blade still has a bit of belly to it, too.

Here is a pic from the other side. We're looking at a large Regular, standard Umnumzaan and tanto Umnumzaan. :)

How does the Insingo tip compare to the standard and the tanto? would be nice to see a pic of the three Sebenza 21 tips together...

First pic is of my Hinderer Spanto and Tanto Umnum tips. I only own one CRK currently, not exactly the comparison you're looking for, but thought I would join in the discussion.
The Zaan has been fantastic so far (3-4 weeks)...I can't say enough about the quality (like that needs to be said here) and can't seem to put this knife down.
