So the other night i decided it was cleaning night.
I had been reading a lot of threads of the random nature, and saw similar people talking about how they didn't like the locking mechanisms on their spring assisted. I felt the same way, and decided to remedy that irksome feeling. I've never taken a SA knife apart before, but we're all curious.
Removing the lock was simple. Felt good about it. Started putting some of the screws in place, and screwed just one in, but when i had set the knife down to screw the rest in, the blade slightly bumped the carpet, and hidden spring below the knife popped out a little. Meh, not too worry, i'll just unscrew the screw and pop the spring back in.
the damn torx stripped. not the screw, but the actual bit...........
so now i have a disassembled trident with the spring out, and one screw in the handle with a smooth torx. i bought a stupid small carry set with different sizes, becuase the trident requires a 5/64 and torx6........i hope home depot will replace the torx or soemthing for me to put my trident tanto back together (T.T)
anyone have any mishaps when taking their sogs apart?
