I made this piece a while ago but thought you might like it. The blade lay in my workshop for 3 years before I assembled the handle and sheath. One day I though, "what the hell" and not having any clue as to how I was going to put it all together somehow managed to do a decent job of it.
The wood is called Tamboetie, it is a local (South African) hardwood with a African Black wood spacer. The Habaki is copper. I decided to punch my logo and fill it with solder (Just to see what would happen) I was fully prepared to make another. Fortunately it worked out really well.
