Tantos(CS vs Strider)

Cold Steel makes a good knife, but Strider makes the superior knife of the two- IMHO, YMMV, etc. They are made for different ELU's and the price points reflect this difference. ($30-$100 vs. $150-$300)
OK, CS fans- don't all jump on me at once!

I've been using Striders for duty and tactical knives since 93, and I used to carry a master Tanto before I got into the customs-Spend the money and get the Strider, I guarantee you will be happy. Pure hardcore tool.

Hey Rugger. I think you are a little off on the prices for both knives...

King Grinch,

There is NO comparison between the CS and Strider knives.

I've been so pleased with my Strider Model WB that I have an order for a modified BT and will place an order for a smaller model as soon as I can save a few bucks.

Remember, the comparison doesn't end with materials and blade geometry. Strider has an UNCONDITIONAL guarantee. That means that if your knife breaks after you put it in a vise and shoot at it with a tank they'll still replace it. I don't think the CS warranty would cover the same.

I think that the Strider would more favorably compare to the Busse knives than CS as far as toughness and customer satisfaction.

ps.If you look at http://www.striderknives.com I think you can find a lot more information about the entire Strider line.

Mr. Grinch,
