Hooray for mobile users. Personally I just use the iPhone and deal with it, but whatever.

Oh the hits keep coming. IF you use this tapatalk POS, you won't be able to search, sorry. They haven't coded it to work with sphinx search so you are SOL. Dunno about the berryblab thing either.

I AM NOT OFFERING SUPPORT FOR EITHER OF THESE APPLICATIONS - If they don't work, VIEW THE FORUM IN FULL STYLE ON YOUR PHONE.

Download taptalk...

Posting from the app test post..... Wow this app is slow!!!

Rather use my Atomic browser app for viewing bladeforums :(

Testing a pic upload, also going to link a photobucket pic to see if it works from taptalk (smilies work if you know the codes :))

Thanks Spark, I'll pass on taptalk for now but thank you very much for your efforts. I hope the blackberry users will benefit from the new features. IMHO iPhone users are better off viewing like we have been, I really like the atomic web app ( 99cents on the app store)... Nice full screen viewing unlike the safari browser apple gives you.

Thank you spark. I like the app when I am using a strong wireless but the new site layout is pretty cool so I'll pass. Again thank you for the update

Has anyone downloaded this application and want to give feedback of it to everyone else ere?

I'll get a quick review up with screen shots in the next few days, maybe a quick YouTube video of it in action would be better?

It's slower then safari and atomic :(

It seems like it parses the info in realtime so it takes it while longer to load. Not really a concern with WIFI. Navigation and layout are better than the clutter of a full HTML page and its bits and bobs.

ETA: I just noticed that I'm not subscribed to this thread even though I have that option enabled via web. I also tried to upload photos from my Camera Roll and it didn't work so I've uploaded them via my browser. I don't know how long it keeps you logged in either it doesn't seem persistant anyway.

Thanks for enabling tapatalk, Spark. I use it for a number of other sites on my Droid. I find it easier to use on those little smart phone screens than the android-based browser. Speed isn't really an issue because everything is freaking slow when you use a smart phone to browse the web.

Anyway, I'll play around with tapatalk and BladeForums tonight when I have the time.

This isn't an issue for me. I use tapatalk to read and reply to recent postings on various forums when I'm standing around waiting for my kids swimming practice (or whatever) to get done. If I want to do actual research (that is, use search), I wait until I can get to a real computer.

I have used Tapatalk for a different forum and didn't like it, because it doesn't show all the info a browser does, unless I am just clueless. I just use my android browser.

There is a search on the Android version also. It's under the More tab on the right side. I like the layout and for me it seems faster and easier to navigate than the browser. It's nice to not have to try to hit the tiny First New Post button without zooming in. This coupled with the threads staying not read until you open them is a huge improvement. I used to not use my phone to check the forum much because if I only had a few minutes it would change my last visited time and posts wouldn't be shown as new anymore.

looked at tapatalk for something else. didn't like it. I guess if you become use to looking at tapatalk for other forums it might work but I prefer to just browse the full version.

BF should also consider adding a phone friendly style. that black and white on doesn't do it.

The new layout is much friendlier for the iPhone than the previous one. With the old layout I would have preferred tapatalk. With this one I prefer the standard browser. I haven't even tried the mobile skin yet.

Thanks Spark!

I installed Tapatalk on my iPhone 4 several months ago hoping to find my favorite forums on it but most weren't. Glad to know that Blade Forums has been enabled now.

I like dedicated apps for reading news. Downloaded Tapatalk for my iPod Touch 4 and it works great. Doesn't do everything a browser does, but it does most of what I want for reading the forum. Navigation is fast on wifi. Had to pay them $3 for the app, so I figured I'd do something for Bladeforums too and bought a Gold membership for all the work they're putting in.
