Tapatalk connectivity issues

It seems like the last couple weeks (maybe longer) I've had hit-and-miss connectivity with bladeforums.com in my tapatalk app. Quite frequently it tells me it's unable to connect to the forum and to contact the admin about it. I have an android phone and my tapatalk app is up to date according to the Google play store. Usually it doesn't last much more than 5 or 10min then I'm able to connect, but the past few days it seems it's happening to me about 50% of the time I try to connect. During these times when I'm unable to connect with BF I'm still able to connect to my other forums in tapatalk so it seems like it's specifically a BF thing...any thoughts? Thanks,

I think it's the new version of Tapatalk, I had no problems with it until I updated to the new format. Now it's hit or miss, notifications are lagging!!

Hmm...sounds about right. Hopefully the next update will address it. Thanks for the input!
 
A little update...

It seems every time I'm unable to connect to BF via tapatalk if I just immediately go back and try again it works. I don't get it...and it's annoying...but it's better than thinking I don't have access for hours on end. I just did a tapatalk update last night hoping something would change but nope. For the meantime I'll be doing my odd work around waiting for it to return to normal.

If anyone else is experiencing the same tapatalk issues I am, would you mind trying my method and see if it works for you? Let me know, thanks.
 
I use tapatalk Pro on an HTC M8 running Android 4.4.2. Lately I've been seeing the same error message you described in your original post. If I wait a bit it connects anyway, I'm talking 10 seconds or less. If I close it and reopen it, then it seems to connect a little quicker. I can live with it but I imagine they will have a bug fix for it soon.
 
My connectivity still blows. I emailed tapatalk again and a guy responded 'they have tapatalk disabled, have an administrator enable it'.

That doesn't make sense to me because I am able to connect sometimes, just with absolutely no consistency.
 
I think they gave you the run around. I use tt all day every day and it connects to BF just fine. Lots of other annoyances, but connection isn't one of them for me.
 
I have android and am having the same issues. Pretty annoying. I can't use your work around because my "back" button no longer works on my device.
 
You need the older version of tapatalk before they updated it. I think i still have the link to the older version
 
Wow, I kind of feel like an idiot. I think I solved my problem. I was doing some more online searching about it and came across a thread with this suggestion; go to settings > apps > tapatalk, then clear the cache and do a force stop. It seems to be working just fine now. How frustrating is that! I've been dealing with this crap for months only to find out the freaking solution was with me all along...:mad:

Well, with that out, I'm very happy it's working again. :)

EDIT: Well scratch that, 4hrs later and the connectivity issues have returned in full force. :(
