So I’ve had this happen a few times to me, it hasn’t happened for awhile except for recently I forget to take off the tape from a blade while it was gluing up overnight and the next day I took it off and there was some very minor rust on the blade.

I‘be been using the 3M blue painters tape.

So my question is, is there a tape that I can use directly on a blade for a day or two that will not cause rust?

Best regards,
Joseph

The blue or green painters tape creates a nice smooth line on masked off paint surfaces

I believe it absorbs the moisture in latex paint into a gel like you have in diapers.
the real painters tape actually is made to hold moisture.

I use a little vaselene, then normal cheap tan brown masking tape, first inside out, then a layer right side out.
