Tapered spindles worth it?

Hi all,

I'm thinking the convenience of tapered spindles for the buffer might be worth the investment. Sure beats unscrewing the bolts all the time! Those who have them--do you love 'em? Also, where do you buy your wheels with pinholes? They don't seem to be carried by Caswell or the other big guys.

Tapered spindles are great with buffs 6" and less. For larger buffs you need nuts and washers on a threaded shaft.

I use tapered spindles, 6” buffs. K&G knife and gun finishing supplies as well as many other knifemaking supply shops carry them.
