Tapping angles causing lock failues

Does the striking angle have any effect on lock failures. I have found relatively mild taps on the back of the blade at angles around 60-70 degrees to cause some concern.

Some of my liner locks that have not moved when tapped at 90 degrees will move (a lot)when tapped at an angle. None of them failed but the amount of movement is unnerving.
