Many of you know that before I designed knives, I collected them. I am still a collector. Usually what draws me to a knife is something unique about it. That is why I collect knives. So many artist each with something unique to add.
In my search for all new and intersting things, I found that Steve Tarani has develop a folding kerambit. It is model after his fixed blade design with Strider. Built by Bladetech. I got the Master's model. It has a 2.5" blade-S-30V. With an opening thumb hole. Black g-10 handles. The whole package is about 8" overall. When I first got it I immediately notice the safety ring. The ring is covered totally by the solid steel back spacer bar on the front lock (lock back). The G-10 handles are really grippy with gripper gooves on the edges too. I like that as it provided a more positive grip. The blade is very sharp coming from the factory. The clip is exchangable for righty and leafty carry which is always a great idea Overall, this is a nice piece.

A most impressive piece of work. Truly, one of better designs to enter the world of kerambits.

I have scanned the contents of the Tarani kerambit site. A most fascinating read.

That knife caught my eye and now it's gotten a good impartial review. Worth looking into even deeper, now!
