I received the journeyman karambit yesterday in the mail.

A report will follow in a few days to a few weeks depending on my schedule relating this knifes features and the differences found between this and the masters model from the same maker [ Blade-tech.

I can tell you that within one hour I sank the tip into the inside area of my right wrist [ where people cut themselves when committingf suicide ]. Unpleasant, missed a vein by 1/8". It was measured at 3/16" deep with a ruler looking at the mark left on the tip.

The wrist is tender, a little swollen but otherwise I lucked out and did not need a trip up to medical to repair a tendon or vein.

More to follow. Oh ya, I was back at spinning it this morning at 5am before heading off for the day.

Looking forward to the review brownie! I was sitting here with a karambit.com catalog in my lap while surfing the forums and I discovered this post! Bima must be looking out for me :)

Crayola:

From what I understand talking to them today some like the masters model better and some like the journeyman better.

I like both but already have a preference for daily carry but will wait till I can explain why before stating which one so others can decide for themselves with an informed opinion.

I goofed this morning, it was not 3/8" deep but 3/16". The post has been edited to reflect the correct numbers.
